The FSC-BT1058 module. How do I determine which audio codec is currently running? And which command should I use to switch the audio codec?

Igor For FSC-BT1058, you can determine and configure the A2DP codec settings through the following AT commands.

Configure supported A2DP codecs

Command:

AT+A2DPCFG

Example:

AT+A2DPCFG=xxx

Please note that this command only configures the available codec list. The final codec used during the Bluetooth connection is negotiated automatically between the two devices.

Check the currently used codec

If BT1058 works as A2DP Source (transmitter):

AT+A2DPENC
If BT1058 works as A2DP Sink (receiver):

AT+A2DPDEC

Therefore, if you want to change the codec, please adjust the supported codec configuration using AT+A2DPCFG, then reconnect the Bluetooth device. The final codec will be selected according to the codec support of both devices.

I did not specify a key point - the module works in Auracast mode. Please answer the previous questions, taking into account that the module is in Auracast mode.

Igor Since the FSC-BT1058 is working in Auracast mode (LE Audio BIS), the A2DP-related commands (AT+A2DPCFG, AT+A2DPENC, AT+A2DPDEC) are not applicable.

For BIS (Broadcast Isochronous Stream), the audio codec is fixed as LC3. There is no alternative codec selection or switching command like Classic Bluetooth A2DP.

The modules return - "0". What does it mean? What is the current audio codec?

Igor The returned value =0 means that the audio encoding/decoding process has not started yet, so there is currently no active audio codec.

Please start the A2DP audio transmission first, and then run the AT+A2DPENC (source) or AT+A2DPDEC (sink) command again to check the currently used audio codec.
