- Master/Slope Determination
According to the user guide, the module that triggers the TWS pairing process (short press ON/OFF) becomes the master. Is it possible to always force a specific module (e.g., Left unit) to act as master by controlling SYS_CTRL input timing?
→ No. Master/slave logic for BT1026D: The module that initiates the connection becomes the master. SYS_CTRL timing cannot change this.
- L/R Channel Assignment
After TWS pairing, is the Left/Right audio channel fixed to a specific physical module?
→ Yes. Master = left channel, slave = right channel. Fixed.
Or can the audio channels be dynamically assigned (e.g., Right unit receiving Left channel depending on pairing conditions)?
→ No. Dynamic assignment is not supported in standard firmware.
- Channel Stability
Once TWS pairing is established, is the L/R channel assignment guaranteed to remain consistent across power cycles?
→ Yes. Because it is based on the MAC address (hardware), it remains consistent.
Or can it change depending on which module initiates pairing?
→ No. It does not change. The MAC address determines the role regardless of which module initiates pairing.
- Control Method
Is there any AT command, GPIO configuration, or firmware option to fix Left/Right channel mapping?
→ No. Standard firmware has no AT command or GPIO to change or fix the mapping.
Or enforce a fixed master/slave + channel relationship?
→ No. Standard firmware does not support this. Custom firmware is required.
- Auto Connection vs TWS Behavior (Important)
5.1 We observed that if the module is connected to a mobile phone before TWS pairing, it cannot enter TWS mode. If Auto Connection (AUTOCONN) is enabled, will the module automatically connect to the phone before TWS pairing?
→ Yes. If AT+AUTOCONN=1, the module will attempt to connect to a previously paired phone on power-up.
5.2 If so, does this prevent TWS from being established?
→ Yes. As the documentation states: “Do not connect. If the module is connected to a phone, it cannot enter TWS mode.”
5.3 What is the recommended sequence for stable TWS operation?
→ Yes, that sequence is correct. Recommended:
AT+AUTOCONN=0
- Establish TWS (button short press or AT+PEERINQ=1)
- Connect to phone (after TWS is connected)
5.4 Is there an AT command to control this sequence reliably?
→ Yes. Use AT+AUTOCONN, AT+PEERINQ, AT+PEERCFG, AT+PEERDISC, etc. Full TWS AT command set: https://document.feasycom.com/docs/audio/BT1026_CN_TWS/latest/
- Custom Firmware
If the above is not possible with standard firmware, do you provide custom firmware to enforce: Left unit = master + Left channel, Right unit = slave + Right channel?
→ Standard firmware does not allow forcing a specific physical unit to a fixed role/channel. Custom firmware is available to implement this.
