I use the BT1036 in a battery-powered device; the charging function of the BT1036 is not used.

I want to limit battery usage to a minimum.

I execute the command AT+BTEN=0 when Bluetooth is not being used. Are there ways to reduce power consumption even further?

Leon Your current approach using AT+BTEN=0 is already the best software power-saving method.
To reduce consumption even further, you have two options:

Complete power removal via hardware gating – cut VCC to the BT1036 with a host-controlled load switch. This gives the absolute lowest drain (zero current when off).
Custom firmware with IO wake-up – request a firmware that enters deep shutdown when Bluetooth is off and wakes via a dedicated IO pin. Contact sales01@feasycom.com for customization.
